What is your editing style?

For the vast majority of my weddings and various other photography work, I edit my images to be very true-to-color, but I also incorporate a touch of added brightness and contrast in my finished pieces. My goal is for each image to evoke a sense of authenticity, timelessness, and special significance. I personally “hand edit” each and every image I produce to ensure that every unique photograph lives up to its full potential. This meticulous process means that I take the necessary time with each individual image, carefully adjusting elements such as exposure, temperature, tint, contrast, highlights, shadows, whites, blacks, clarity, saturation, vibrance, and the tone curve. However, that is just the beginning of the journey… There are numerous different editing techniques and tools that I employ to guarantee the desired outcome for each photograph. This process requires considerable time and dedication, but I believe it is a crucial step in the journey of delivering high-quality images to my clients. After all, every moment captured is a “once-in-a-lifetime” moment, and I strive to treat it with the utmost care and respect through my work.

I can edit in various styles based on your request. I enjoy using artistic styles that enhance my work. Over the years, I have developed my skills and can tailor edits to meet your needs. Many clients ask for "film-like" edits, which I enjoy creating. If you have a specific style in mind, please ask, and I would be happy to help you achieve your vision.

What is your photography style? Will you pose us?

My primary goal, with any session or wedding that I photograph, is to ensure that you feel your best and most authentic self while in front of my camera. I want you to feel completely at ease and very comfortable not only with me, but also with the entire process we will go through together. It is quite natural to feel a little awkward at first, but rest assured, I am skilled at making people feel relaxed and at home in front of my lens…even the men and little ones who typically loathe photo sessions. ;-)

I will utilize posing techniques to effectively guide my clients into a session workflow that naturally evolves, over the course of the session, into more spontaneous and candid moments. Candid moments, being my absolute favorite, are truly special, so I continuously keep my eyes peeled for those genuine interactions and emotions that occur in between the posed moments.

For weddings, my primary goal is to capture every single, special moment of your day in a way that truly reflects the essence of your celebration, all while being as discreet as possible. I understand how important it is for you to enjoy your day without feeling as though you are being bombarded by a camera in your face at every turn. That being said, I also do not want to miss any precious photos that you might want, so I will utilize thoughtful guidance and gentle direction, where needed, to ensure that we get all the essential shots that are on your list, along with many more candid moments that unfold naturally throughout the day. It is a delicate balancing act that I am more than well prepared for on your special day, as I strive to capture your unique and one-of-a-kind love story that is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, to the very best of my ability.
